 Leaving behind the world of commerce André van Vuuren very quickly stamped his professional mark on overland and photographic wildlife safaris. André founded Explore Africa Adventures in 1997 and has the following qualifications:
- An MBA degree in marketing
- A B.Sc Honours Degree
- International Banking experience

Honorary Game Ranging experience with the South African National Parks

A fully qualified Advanced Deep Water Diver (CMAS)
- A fully licensed Skipper and Instructor

A 4X4 vehicle driver instructor accredited by Mitsubishi Motors, Goodyear, South African Track and Training, Cross Country and Alexander Forbes short term insurance.
- A Member of the Wildlife Society of Southern Africa
- A Member of the Endangered Wildlife Trust
- Registered Field Guide with Field Guides of Southern Africa (FGASA) License Nr. V3040/2002
- Registered field guide with the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism of South Africa. Reg.Nr: GP 1445
Operational Manager
Mariana van Vuuren is qualified in Domestic Science
and Economics and used to be head of the Department
of Life Skills at the Polokwane College.
She is responsible for the following functions at Explore Africa:
- Financial Management
- The Marketing of the 4x4 Driver Training
- All the administration
- The Catering Department
André and Mariana have been married for 25 years and have
two sons,
